The Food Planet Health Awareness Program helps students learn about the impact of their food choices on the environment, animals, and their health. It gives students more agency for choosing a compassionate, sustainable, healthy diet.
Meat and dairy production produces 60% of agriculture’s greenhouse gas emissions while providing just 18% of calories and 37% of protein. The program helps students to consume environmentally sustainable food by going plant-based.
Worldwide, more than 70 billion land animals are killed for food every year. Animals are bred, impregnated, tortured, and transported to slaughterhouses to meet gruesome ends. The Food Planet Health Awareness Sessions help students learn about speciesism and the brutal atrocities that animals suffer on farms.
Eating plant-based food is good not only for plants and animals but also for our health. People who eat plant-based diets have:
Meat and Dairy production uses 83% of farmland and 33% of total drinkable water. Do you know it requires 660 liters of water to produce 1kg of chicken? The Food Planet Health program helps students choose environmentally sustainable food with a low carbon footprint and food that can save water.
Our presentation is curated with a storytelling approach that captures students’ interest, and elements like polls and dedicated Q&A sessions allow students to interact with the presenter.
This helps develop a deeper understanding of the issue and inspires students to try veganism. We offer online and offline sessions.
Our presentations and resources are designed by keeping our audience in mind. At present, we are presenting webinars in more than six languages.
Our resources include the post-webinar feedback, 10Weeks to Vegan email series, 10 Weeks to Vegan website, and online communities.
We collaborate with colleges and universities under our Vegucated Program. As a part of this initiative, we organize sessions on diverse topics for students and faculties.
We’ve conducted webinars on plant-based fitness, nutrition, and overall health, offering science-backed insights and practical guidance.
