Choco banana slice cake/bread

Vegan Banana bread

I discovered this recipe during the lockdown and it very quickly became one of my favorites. Because it’s made from ingredients easily available at home. Plus the extra ripe bananas at home, waiting for you to eat them are not going to get wasted because this recipe needs extra ripe bananas. Please keep reading to know how to make it.

Preparation time: 2 hours

Servings: 6

What you’ll need:

  1. 2 sliced extra ripe bananas
  2. 2. 3/4th cup sugar (180 gm)
  3. 1/2 cup oil (120 ml)
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. 1 teaspoon vinegar
  6. 1 and 1/2 cup maida (265 gm)
  7. 1/2 cup cocoa powder (45 gm)
  8. 1/2 cup water (120 ml)
  9. 1/4th cup chopped dry fruits
  10. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  11. 1/4th teaspoon baking soda
  12. 1/4th teaspoon salt

Procedure:

  1. Blend sliced bananas and sugar in a mixie.
  2. Take out the mixture in a bowl, add oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract, and whisk. This will be your wet batter.
  3. Take a siever and sieve maida, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and this will be your dry batter.
  4. Combine both dry and wet batters and add water to them. Combine again.
  5. Add the chopped dry fruits and combine.
  6. Line the baking vessel with butter paper and empty the batter in it.
  7. Preheat for 10-15 minutes and bake at 180°c for 40 mins using convection mode.
  8. Take it out once baked, let it cool down, slice, and enjoy!

It’s one of the best recipes to replace non-vegan slice cakes and bread loaves.
